With a love for entrepreneurship and a deep belief in forging your own path, I bring a grounded, purposeful approach to wedding planning. Over the years, I’ve led hundreds of events and developed a planning style that’s both refined and deeply personal.
I work closely with each client and intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year. That way, you’re never just another name on a list. While my systems provide structure and clarity, what matters most is building real trust and making sure you feel supported every step of the way.

We listen closely, collaborate intentionally, and plan with purpose. So every detail reflects who you are and what matters most to you.
After a long career as a chef, I was offered a role as a Wedding Specialist at a local venue. I loved the creativity and fast pace, but over time, I wanted more. More connection, more intention, and the ability to truly advocate for my couples. In 2020, during the uncertainty of the pandemic, I stepped away from my full-time role and launched my first planning company, Electric City Event Co. Owning my business gave me the freedom to serve clients in a way that felt aligned—with care, creativity, and integrity at the core.
By 2023, Electric City evolved into two distinct brands: Lovely Weddings and Events, for couples seeking a more approachable, budget-conscious planning experience—and Briggs & Co., created for full-service clients who want a planning partner they can trust with the big picture and the finest details. With Briggs & Co., I’m able to do the work I love most: building trust, streamlining the process, and designing elevated, personal celebrations that leave a lasting impression. In 2023, I purchased my first venue, New Leaf Farm, where I now live with my husband, our two daughters, and a growing collection of animals. The following year, I purchased 6th and River, a historic venue in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. It’s another extension of what drives me most—creating intentional spaces where people feel celebrated and cared for.
In 2020, Amanda Briggs left her full-time job as a venue manager, driven by a desire to serve couples more personally and intentionally. She launched her first planning company soon after—and the rest is history.

On top of how simply phenomenal they were, the best part was that planning with Amanda was like having your best friend plan your wedding - she just got us.
